Christopher Weill | Founder | President
Christopher Weill is the President and founder of The Riviera Group – one of the leading consulting and transaction advisory firms to the investment and wealth management industries. Prior to founding TRG Christopher was the Chief Operating Officer of Mercer Advisors, a 8+ billion dollar national RIA with over 20 offices nationwide. He oversaw and managed all operations from IT to the Investment Operations back office to opening new offices and developing new workflows and streamlining all processes to enable Mercer to become one of the most efficient and 100% cloud based RIAs in the industry.
Christopher specializes in comprehensive consulting that focuses on strategic growth through transaction advisory buy side representation, management consulting, developing new growth channels, strategic and business planning, organizational structure, technology assessments, client segmentation and KPI development, data management and reporting, and operational efficiencies. This industry experience and expertise gives Christopher the necessary skills to help firm of all sizes with transaction advisory services, strategic growth, management consulting, streamlining operations, implementing new technology platforms, and client segmentation and KPI development.
Scott Kvancz | Managing Director
Scott started his career as a mergers and acquisitions attorney at two of the largest law firms in the country (Brobeck Phleger & Harrison and McGuire Woods, LLP). His legal background and experience with private equity and debt financing facilities gave him an atypical insight into the financial services industry. Scott joined Mercer Advisors in 2003 and in addition to being General Counsel, also served as Vice President, Mergers and Acquisitions. His ability to work with strategic partners like TD Ameritrade, Scottrade and Charles Schwab helped Mercer’s executive team identify and close multiple acquisitions throughout the country.
Candice Carlton | Jr. Principal | Marketing & Operations Director
Prior to joining The Riviera Group, Candice worked at two of the most innovative and rapidly growing RIA’s in the industry and boasts a powerful blend of expertise in Technology, Marketing and Operations. She is most passionate about helping advisors create authentic and powerful ways to connect with prospects and clients.
At United Capital, a $20+Billion-dollar national RIA with 100+ Offices and a white label client experience, she built out the infrastructure to help the firm scale and effectively integrate and manage acquired firms. Most recently she created United Capital’s Digital Network (UCDN), producing weekly “tv shows” for Market Updates, Growth Coaching, and Crisis & Client Communications. She is responsible for creating a culture of video first communications, the advisor video messaging program, and training and tool development.
Prior to her time at United Capital, Candice worked at Mercer Advisors managing the Centralized Operations Team & Trade Desk. She was responsible for directing investment product implementations for 13 branch offices. As the lead subject matter expert and project manager, she led the firm wide technology platform change for $4billion in AUM for CRM, trading, and portfolio accounting/performance reporting. She also led a $2 billion transition on investment accounts onto a new custodial platform setting up new relationships, processes and workflows, and trainings to ensure a superior client experience.
